EasyFold Features & Specifics

How Does The EasyFold Fold Up?

Easily!

Both models have a latch at the back of the seat, when pulled this releases the chair for folding. It naturally compresses to a folded position. The last step is to fold the footrest in and it is ready to be moved. Should take less than 3 seconds.

Do the EasyFold models require assembly?

Both models come fully assembled. All you need to do is decide if you want to connect the joystick controller to the right or left armrest. The process to install it takes around 3 minutes. Then you just unfold the unit, place the seat covers in position, and you’re ready to go.

Do the EasyFold Standard and the EasyFold Elite models have a FREE-Wheel function?

Yes. Both come with FREE-wheel and can be pushed when needed.

Can I use the EasyFold and EasyFold Elite indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes. The EasyFold and the EasyFold Elite are both indoor/outdoor personal mobility devices.

How much weight will the EasyFold Standard and the EasyFold Elite models support?

The Easyfold will support up to 265 lbs., while the Easyfold Elite model will support up to 397 lbs.

How fast can the EasyFold go?

The EasyFold features adjustable speed.

The maximum speed of the Standard model is 6.4 km/h

The maximum speed of the Elite model is 8 km/h

Can the EasyFold be pushed ?

Yes, both EasyFold models have the ability to freewheel or go into neutral so that it could be used to manually push a individual from the back if desired.

Battery and Motor

How far can it travel on a single charge?

The Standard model with 1 battery can travel 20 kms. Equipped with a second battery that range is extended to 40.2kms

The Elite Model equipped with the standard two batteries can travel 25.7 kms.

What kind of batteries are they?

The Standard model is powered by a Lithium-ion, 24V 10aH.

The Elite Model is powered by two Lithium-ion 24V 12Ah (2 X 6aH).

How much do the batteries weigh?

Easyfold Standard – 4lbs

Easyfold Elite – 3lbs (There are two batteries for of a total weight of 6lbs.

What type of motor does the EasyFold use?

The Standard model is powered by two 180W Brushless Motors

The Elite Model is powered by two 250W Brushless Motors.

Cost & Finances

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the following forms of payment.

  1. All major credit cards
  2. Debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard symbol
  3. Money orders or cashiers cheque
  4. Wire Transfers and E-Transfers
  5. Personal cheques(The product will ship after the chequeclears)
Will my private insurance pay for the EasyFold?

You will have to contact your insurance carrier to find out if they will reimburse you for the purchase of a mobility transportation aid. We have been told that some people have been fully or partially reimbursed for their purchase.

Will the provincial government funding cover the cost of the EasyFold?

No. Currently there is not any provincial or federal government funding for the EasyFold Standard or the EasyFold Elite.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

We ship it by courier. Once shipped from our London Ontario location it can take up to 5 business days depending on the destination province.

Do you ship outside of Canada?

Yes. We ship internationally using Federal Express Economy Air Service. We have special rates. An example would be shipping to certain parts of Europe for as little as $400.00.

How will I know when the product will arrive?

When we ship, we provide a tracking number via email. If you do not have an email address, we will call you to provide the tracker number by phone.

Flying & Travel

Can the EasyFold be taken on a commercial airplane?

The Easyfold and the Easyfold Elite both meet FAA and DOT regulations for safe air travel.

We strongly recommend that you contact the airline before traveling to check for any changes in their travel policy, and to provide documentation prior to air travel. This will make for a smooth flight.

Do I have to remove the batteries from the device prior to boarding?

This is at the discretion of the airlines. Most customers report that they did not have to remove the batteries.
